Government

AECOM’s Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM’s Government business line and is comprised of three divisions — International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for examining, analyzing, interpreting and maintaining accounting records for the purpose of giving advice and/or preparing statements. Positions that fall within this job family will function in both the field and office.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or demonstrated equivalent

Must have eight (8) or more years of professional developmental experience.

Prior account reconciliation and general ledger experience.

Good oral and written communication skills

Working knowledge of Excel and integrated software applications

Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work.

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be US Citizens

Preferred Qualifications

A CPA is preferred.

Deltek Costpoint experience preferred

Senior Accountant

Reporting to the CEO and investors, the Director of Finance and Operations oversees the VP of Talent, Senior Manager of Ecommerce, and the Head of Production, Bookkeeper, and Operations Coordinator. The Director of Finance and Operations is also reponsible for managing the overall talent, box, and production departments, including oversight on indirect reports (talent coordinators, talent managers, production staff—both employees and contractors—and the box vendor relationships with fulfillment and customer service). Working closely with the General Manager, the Director of Finance and Operations is part of the executive team overseeing the management of the company.

Responsibilities include:

Finance/Accounting:

Responsible for financial operations including: forecasting, budgeting, managing payables, departmental adherance to budgets
Approving invoice requests including: weekly reviews of SOWs to ensure vendors/consultants are paid upon fulfillment of services rendered and conducting follow-ups with department heads to see that services were provided
Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required)
Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties
Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
Oversee documentation and maintainance of supporting information for all financial transactions
Responsible for managing cash flow and preparing cashflow report in accordance with policy
Oversee bookkeeping function including GL, A/P, A/R, and payroll
Budget month over month as well as yearly forecast
Forecast, revenues, COGS, and expenses, and report to management
Managng the OpEx and looking at ways to save money each month
Forecasting headcount and managing that against the OpEx
Making sure payables and receivables are classified correctly
Participates in the hiring, training, and development of the finance team
Conducts regularly scheduled one-on-ones with direct reports designed to enhance awareness, support, and accountability
Distribute departmental budgets and track spend monthly
Ensure all departments are tracking their spend/spending responsibly

Operations:

Attending regular meetings 2x/week to go over updates for all departments
Create and monitor Operations KPIs
Read weekly reports and ensure that no items are missing
Create status reports on the different departments and Operations KPIs, including constantly looking for new ways to improve efficiencies across the company
Responsible for monitoring and analyzing work product to ensure appropriate standards are being met
Audit departments regularly to ensure that they are operating efficiently and effectively. Focus on the problems and solve them quickly
Oversee the talent department in the short term, eventually having the VP of talent report to me
Oversee the Production department, with the head of production reporting to me
Oversee the box department, with the
Insurance:

Oversee all aspects of company insurance to minimize risk exposure
Manage application process
Maintain working relationship with insurance broker
Working with insurance brokers to ensure proper coverage
Determining risk levels and assessing appropriate premiums
Re-evaluate each quarter to assess coverage levels matching to risk
Track insurance certificates and compile them in company database
Customer Service:

Ongoing analysis of current crisis mode plan and optimizing it for efficiency and scalability
Ensuring that response times can continue to be low in times of crisis
Overseeing customer service to ensure new processes are followed
Work with outside fulfillment to monitor customer service issues, KPIs
Be the decision maker with respect to customer service issues
Oversee customer service scripts, agent interactions, and work with Senior Manager of Ecommerce to increase NPS related to customer service
Fulfillment:

Oversee Senior Manager of Ecommerce and assist her in the following:
Increasing efficiency by minimizing defects
Incorporation of accountability into brand contracts for breakage/problems, making sure 99% of product shipped arrive in brand new condition
Ensuring an accurate to the minute count of inventory on hand via dashboards
Ensuring all Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) sheets are compiled and filed properly when procuring product
Ensuring brand contracts limit liability for Beautycon
Negotiate with vendors (PayPal/Vantiv) and manage the ongoing relationship to secure business buying/selling capabilities
Oversee the financial relationship with fulfillment, participate in decision-making
Work with fulfillment when problems need to be escalated
Legal:

Oversee entertainment legal outside counsel
Continue to monitor and automate process for every department using legal:
Talent—contracts templatized and able to be signed by department heads
Creating a process for any deal point negotiations
Sales – create approval process for sales concessions, templatized contracts for booth spaces, parameters to operate within for decision making process.
Production:

Project manage legal team
Work on deal points, ensure contracts are read by appropriate team members
Limit Beautycon Liability and strive for best possible deals for BC
Work with Kevin to think through Beautycon exposure in deals
Communicating weekly with outside counsel to understand projects being worked on and maintain transparency across legal department
Audit all contracts to ensure maximized revenue opportunities for Beautycon, limited risk including:
Talent contracts
Festival Sales contracts
Box Sales contracts
Ticketing contracts
Festival Vendor Contracts
General Vendor Contracts
Data Management (IT)

Oversee company data and monitor one platform where company information lives
Evaluating and training new and existing employees in IT tools including:
Slack
Creation and protocols for channel creation
Use case and when to use email
Trello
Creation of the protocols and education for new and existing employees
Management of licenses and admin privaleges
Ongoing management of the tool
Dropbox
Creation of organizational system including:
Folder permissions (e.g., who can create folders and content that lives in all folders
Determination of where final materials exist that is user friendly, straightforward, and allows for access within 60 seconds of a user search
Contactually
Creating and maintaining licenses (seats)
Managing departmental use of the tool
Tracking daily use
Ensuring all employees are compliant in using contactually, importing and updating contact information
Google Drive
Creating protocols for organization and how drive must be organized (allowing legacy information to be accessed within 60 seconds)
Creating and disseminating information on what is acceptable information that lives on google drive vs. Dropbox, educating employees and monitoring compliance

Data Analytics

Oversee company analytics with respect to:
Vendor Surveys
Talent Surveys
Employee Surveys
Customer Surveys
Work with Director of Web Analytics to drive the strategy for data collection, data leveragability for brand and investor stories
Work across departments to ensure we are capturing data efficiently and leveraging it to tell stories
Make strategic decisions about data we are willing to share vs. not
Set up the social listening tools we use
Present data to relevant departments, instruct them on insights

Sr Project Accountant!

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for performing intermediate level accounting duties of assigned projects, such as revenue recognition, transactional accounting, complex invoicing. Typically responsible for analysis, forecasting, budgeting and reporting. Serves as trusted business advisor to management related to financial insight and performance. Provides resolution of intermediate to complex issues. Ensures the project is in compliance with contractual obligations, as appropriate. Works under minimal supervision.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Invoicing:
• May generate, audit and distribute draft invoices and/or credit memos to Project Management for review based on understanding of contract. Obtains appropriate approval and distributes accordingly. Researches and resolves complex invoice matters.
• Generates and reviews tax calculations to ensure accurate billing.
• Monitors cash collections for assigned project(s) by actively communicating aging risk to project management to determine necessary collection actions. Communicates with clients regarding past due invoices.
Financial Analysis:
• Researches and responds to project related questions, including questions from management. May consolidate reporting for assigned business area. Provides recommendation to primary internal clients. May include identifying areas of concern.
Financial Reporting:
• Reviews assigned project and/or business area income statement for accuracy; reporting, analysis and variance explanation for projects; identifies and communicates financial risk & opportunities. Budgeting & Forecasting:
• Updates business systems with project budget and current project forecasted costs.
• Prepares and analyzes project and/or business area budget & forecast; assists in development of financial models.
Projects:
• Structures and opens projects in accounting system. Obtains confirmation from subject matter experts that structure is appropriate.
• May administer project cash disbursements for assigned projects.
• Communicates project financial information to management for assigned project and/or business area. Identifies and communicates material variances.
• Compiles project financial data as required for assigned project and/or business area; notifies appropriate level of management with material variances.
• Supports evaluation, development and implementation of project accounting tools & procedures that enhance and improve overall results of assigned project and/or business area.
• May assist by providing documentation to support the proposal process.
• Complexity and volume includes at least one of the following: joint ventures, reporting in currencies other than domestic, on-shore/off-shore, multiple contracts, multiple task orders, and/or purchase orders.
Compliance:
• Assists with audit requests by providing and/or reviewing supporting documentation.
• May interact directly with auditors as necessary. Supervisory & Resource Management:
• Demonstrates strong technical knowledge. May assists with review of policies and procedures. May assist with knowledge transfer and training for staff, as assigned.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvement Primary Internal Clients:
• Primary internal clients are associate vice presidents and/or vice presidents, cost review board members, finance managers, and finance directors.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, or related experience. Typically 4+ years related experience.
